What is Microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, uses a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface. These micro-channels trigger the body's natural wound-healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin.

The result is skin that gradually appears firmer, smoother, and more evenly textured as the healing process unfolds over the following weeks.

Unlike more aggressive resurfacing methods, microneedling preserves the top layer of skin, which typically means a shorter recovery window.

Optimized Results with Microneedling

Most clients see initial improvement in skin texture and tone within a few weeks, with continued collagen remodeling occurring over 3 to 6 months following a series of sessions.

Combining microneedling with PRP or PRF can enhance the regenerative response, as growth factors are delivered directly into the newly created micro-channels.

A series of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is generally recommended to build cumulative collagen support rather than relying on a single treatment.

Who Should Use Microneedling

Microneedling is a good option for clients looking to improve overall skin texture, reduce the appearance of acne scarring, or address early signs of fine lines and dullness. It's suitable for most skin types and tones when performed by a trained provider.

It's generally not recommended for clients with active acne breakouts, certain skin infections, or a history of keloid scarring, which your provider will screen for during consultation.

The Microneedling Treatment Process

After a topical numbing agent is applied, your provider passes the microneedling device over the treatment area in a controlled pattern, typically completing a full-face session in 30 to 45 minutes.

Mild redness similar to a sunburn is common for 24 to 48 hours afterward, and most clients resume normal activities the next day.

Your provider will send you home with aftercare guidance, including sun protection and a gentle skincare routine, to support healing over the following week.
