What is PRF Treatment?

PRF, or Platelet-Rich Fibrin, is prepared similarly to PRP but uses a gentler spin process with no anticoagulant additives, allowing white blood cells, stem cells, and platelets to form a fibrin matrix along with the concentrated growth factors.

That fibrin structure releases growth factors more gradually than PRP, which many providers believe extends the regenerative window.

This gentler processing method is part of why PRF has grown in popularity as an alternative or complement to PRP in recent years.

Optimized Results with PRF

Because PRF retains more of the blood's natural cellular components, its effects tend to build and sustain over a longer period compared to PRP, supporting ongoing tissue repair and collagen stimulation.

PRF is often used for facial rejuvenation, under-eye hollows, and as a support layer for other regenerative or injectable treatments.

Some clients choose PRF specifically for its longer-lasting release profile when addressing more persistent concerns like under-eye hollowing or overall skin laxity.

Who Should Use PRF

PRF is well suited for clients seeking a more sustained regenerative effect from their own blood-derived treatment, including those addressing under-eye concerns, overall skin quality, or looking to enhance results from microneedling or other regenerative aesthetics.

It's a strong option for clients who've already tried PRP and are looking for a more sustained regenerative effect, or who are simply drawn to a fully natural, blood-derived approach.

The PRF Treatment Process

A blood sample is drawn and processed using a specialized, additive-free spin to form the fibrin matrix, which is then injected or applied to the treatment area.

Sessions typically take 45 to 60 minutes, with mild swelling or bruising possible at injection sites for a few days.

As with PRP, your provider will discuss appropriate aftercare and any temporary swelling you might expect in the days following your appointment.
