What is PRP Treatment?

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is created by drawing a small sample of your blood and processing it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which are rich in growth factors involved in tissue repair and regeneration.

That concentrated plasma is then applied or injected into the treatment area, where the growth factors help stimulate collagen production, cell turnover, and healing.

No synthetic additives or preservatives are introduced, since the entire treatment is sourced from a single blood draw taken just before your session.

Optimized Results with PRP

Because PRP is derived from your own blood, it carries a very low risk of allergic reaction or rejection. Results build gradually as the growth factors stimulate ongoing collagen production over the following weeks and months.

PRP is commonly used for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration, often in a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart for optimal results.

For hair restoration specifically, a series of monthly sessions over 3 to 4 months is common before assessing whether a maintenance schedule makes sense going forward.

Who Should Use PRP

PRP is a good fit for clients interested in a natural, autologous approach to skin rejuvenation or hair thinning, particularly those who prefer treatments that use their body's own biological material rather than synthetic fillers or products.

It's also a fitting option for clients who've had reactions to synthetic fillers or injectables in the past and are looking for a biologically compatible alternative.

The PRP Treatment Process

Your session begins with a simple blood draw, followed by processing in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. The concentrate is then applied topically after microneedling or injected directly, depending on your treatment plan.

The full process typically takes about 45 to 60 minutes, with mild redness or swelling possible for a day or two afterward.

Your provider will walk you through what to expect in the days following treatment, including any temporary redness or tenderness at the injection sites.
